Dura Villas Container House sat on 1,600 sqm land, which is rented for 20 years by the owner. So, the first and main idea is to use temporary structure that later can be dissembled and reused when the rent is over. 18 units of (20ft) used shipping containers are stacked and arranged in L shape. The L shape arrangement allows a double volume space created at the center which have functions as living space and multifunction space for family and friend gathering. The stacked containers at the west side (the entrance area) protects the living space from the west sun heat. East side of the building is the big garden connected with the living space through full height glass windows to maximize the opening – connecting inside and outside, gaining the east morning sun light as much as possible.
